Ka’bah
The Ka’ba is a
cube-shaped building located in the middle of the largest mosque in the world,
the Masjidil Haram in Mekkah, Hejaz, Saudi Arabia. The Ka'bah itself is a very
noble building for Muslims, because it is used as the direction of qiblat during
prayer and during Hajj or Umrah there is a section to surround the Ka'bah 7
times which is called tawaf. The Kaaba has another name, namely Baitullah which
means the house of Allah
As we already know, the Ka’ba is the qiblat direction for worship for Muslims. The determination of the qiblat direction itself must have calculations and are calculated with precise calculations by referring to the longitude and latitude coordinates of the location of the Ka’ba in Mekkah. The location of the Ka’ba is 21°25'21.2“ north latitude, 039°49'34.1“ east longitude which is where the location is the location of the Golden Ratio or you could say that the coordinate location has perfect precision when measured from the east-west distance of Mekkah with the area another even if measured to the North and South Poles, the size will still be 1.618 units, which means the Kaaba which is in Mekkah is at the center of the world.
The Ka'bah was founded by
Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail, where the foundation of the Ka'bah has
existed since the time of the Prophet Adam as described in the Qur'an, Surah Al
Baqarah verse 127. The Ka'bah has undergone four renovations, which first when
it was first built by the Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail, the second was carried
out by the Quraysh before Islam and the Prophet Muhammad participated, the
third was when there was a fire in the Ka'bah and the last was the construction
of the Ka'bah after the killing of Ibn Az-Zubair. And until now the Kaaba is
still standing perfectly upright.
Next is the part of the
Ka’ba. The Ka’ba itself has a height of 13.1 meters, the foundation of the Ka’ba
is made of marble. The thickness of the marble is at least 25 cm. The Ka’ba has
a cloth covering called the kiswah. The kiswah is made of gold thread and
decorated with the calligraphy of the Al-Qur’an. The width of the Kiswah is 658
m2. The Ka’ba also has a gold door made of 99 carat gold weighing 280 kg. In
addition, Black Stone is a black stone. It is on the south side of the Ka’ba.
Black Stone consists of 8 pieces of silver circle. Other parts of the Ka’ba are
Hijr Ismail, Mutazam, the meal of Prophet Ibrahim AS, the pillars of Hajar
Aswad, the pillars of Yamani and the pillars of Iraqi
