is text designed to describe how something is done/achieved through a sequence
of actions or steps

reader how to make/operate/do something through a sequence of action or steps

Forming Elements

Social Function : To describe a command or
instruction on how something is done/achieved in the correct steps
2.
Structure Text : Consist of goal,
material/ingredients, and step
3. Language Features : Consist of present tense,
imperative sentence, action verb, adverb and temporal conjunction
Type of
Procedure Text
1. Recipe procedure text : is a list of ingredients
and a set of instructions that tell the readers how to cook something. The
purpose is to describe how something is made in sequenced steps. Generic
structure of recipe procedure text are :

Goal/aim : It contains the purpose how to make
something

Ingredients : This part describe the elements we
need to make something
·
Steps/methods : This part describe the set of
instruction
2. Manual procedure text : is a book or pamphlet
that contains an explanation about how something should be done in sequenced
steps. The purpose is to describe how something is done in sequenced steps.
Generic struscture of manual procedure text are :

Goal/aim : It contains the purpose of doing or
operating something

Materials : This part describes the tools we
need to do, make, or operating something
·
Instruction : This part describe the set of
instruction

Temporal conjunctions is like signposts to
indicate to the reader the order and flow of the writer's ideas. They help
carrying over a thought from one sentence to another, from one paragraph to
another, of from one idea to another. E.g: second, after, at first, at once,
before, finally, just, next, now, now that, since, then

Imperative sentence is a sentence that is used
to make a command, request, or instruction. E.g: Wash the tomatoes, cut the
carrot, press the button, etc

Adverb is a word that describes a verb,
adjective or other adverb. An adverb usually consists of an adjective + ly.
E.g: Gently, usually, slowly, suddenly, strongly, etc

Action verbs or dynamic verbs are verbs to
express that the subject is performing an action or to state that something is
happening. E.g: Make, take, boil, cook, push, press, etc

Simple present tense is a verb tense used to
talk about conditions or actions happening right now or habitual actions and
occurrences. E.g: Press locking catch, put the battery, rinse a cup of rice in
cold water, etc

Must and mustn’t. Must is used to express that
we have to do something important, e.g. : You must press the on button to start
the machine. Mustn't is used to express that we are forbidden to do something,
e.g. You musn't refill the ink before it runs out.

How to Use
Blender
Blender is a
tool that someone usually uses to grind ingredients for cooking quickly. Here's
how to use a blender properly and correctly
Materials:
1.
Blender
2.
Pandan leaves (optional)
Steps :
1.
Prepare the blender
2.
Put the suji and pandan leaves into a plastic
tube, and add a little water to make it easier for the knife to blend
3.
Plug the blender cord into a power outlet
4.
Attach the pre-filled plastic jar to the blender
body
5.
Press the blender button to start the blender
6.
When it feels smooth, press the blender button
again to turn it off
