Biography text is a text that tells a detailed life history of a person written by another person

2.       Purpose of Bioraphy Text

The purpose of a biography is to share the life of another person with an audience.

3.       Social Function of Biography Text

The social function of biography text is to retell about someone’s past experience.

4.       Type of Biography

In general, biographyl texts can be divided into three, they are short and simple biography, long biography, and autobiography. However, if distinguished specifically, there are four types of biographies, they are historical fiction, academic, fictional academic, and the prophetic biography

5.       Characteristics of Biography

Biography is not written by subject and always written in the third person

Based on research

Describes the person’s surroundings (where, when and how the person lived)

Use vivid language to narrate events

Orientation (introduction), events, and re-orientation/closing
